<p>MORE and more publishers today are discovering that creating a fan base big enough to capture a substantial amount of advertising growth through an <a title="Video Marketing Tactics" href="http://www.videomarketingtactics.com"><strong>online video</strong></a> medium is actually tougher than it seems.</p>
<p>According to Universal McCann chief media executive David Cohen, the digital platform represents the most lucrative growth sector in the internet in the next four years. EMarketer foresees that the digital landscape will expand to over 40 percent ever year for the next four years.</p>
<p>The market for web video was around $1.79 billion in 2011, with 50 percent being cornered by two dominant players: YouTube, with about $600 million; and Hulu, with $300 million, based on studies by Pivotal Research Group&#8217;s Brian Weiser. <p>Weiser stressed that while this figure continues to keep its steady lead in the TV industry, growth outside YouTube and Hulu does not seem to be as impressive, if not explosive.</p>

<p>But simply creating top-notch video does not mean a business can automatically entice huge amounts of cash. Those cash also desire to make television-like scale and only a handful of <a title="Actual Value of Online Video Trails its Enormous Extensive Publicity" href="http://www.videomarketingtactics.com/actual-value-of-online-video-trails-its-enormous-extensive-publicity.html"><strong>online video</strong></a> firms have both &#8211; Hulu and YouTube.</p>
<p>According to Bright Roll CEO Tod Sacerdotti, &#8220;I have witnessed nearly no proof of any individual or company being able to create a significant following for these programs.&#8221; Bright Roll runs an exchange portal for video advertising and an online video ad network.</p>
<p>Hearst Magazines Media vice president for partnership relations and development Kimberly Lau said that in the past six years &#8220;we have always cashed in on video, but had a hard time in growing streams on our media.&#8221; HMM has recently launched its second channel on YouTube under the video empire&#8217;s popular Premium Content Initiative (PCI).</p>
<p>Lau said that YouTube is the place on the internet where many teenagers and young adults view video. The company&#8217;s funding for top-quality content signifies that HMM will have the opportunity to learn considerably risk-free.</p>
<p>However, advertisers would rather have their websites gather more viewers, which would allow them to have total leverage as well as the revenues in <strong>online video</strong> ads.</p>

<p>However, the average length per commercial linked to web video hosted on Ninemsn is around 15 seconds, half the 30-second ads on Nine with a value of over $100 thousand. Ads on TV consequently are one-quarter the total cost of digital.</p>
<p>Media marketers and Ninemsn declined to confirm the comparisons or regular ad rates. Media firm PHD managing director Toby Hack said that “we are in a trade that aggressively prefers to offer the best pricing than our rivals.”</p>

<p>The top performance clips from the reality show have been included in the Top 10 videos for the Ninemsn network ever week, going head to head with huge news stories. Streams, on the other hand, are believed to be ten times the figure for the “The Block 2011”.</p>
<p>More than a million Australians had visited the website of The Voice during the past week and took advantage of over 5 million streams on top of the over 4 million streams found on video giant YouTube.</p>
<p>Meanwhile, the disparity between broadcast ad fervor and digital is steered in part by overall supply, which most often than not is limited. Nine Network can not authorize extra hours for the heavily formatted singing competition. But more surprisingly, Ninemsn only has a very small library of videos and supporting materials for web broadcast.</p>
<p>A broadcast of the television show on Nine can provide over twenty 30-second commercials an hour that can reach over 2 million viewers, while a Ninemsn video only presents a 15-second ad. <strong>Online video</strong> commercials for the reality singing competition is four times as lucrative compared to television broadcast.</p>
